On the pricey side, but that's to be expected in a street like Castro. Aside from that though, it's an all-you-can-eat buffet for mongolian BBQ, and it hits the spot!

For AYCE, this is a good place for adults to customize your noodles/chow mien.
There's a good amount/variety of meats (pork, chicken, lamb & beef) and veggies (canned pineapple, bean sprouts, shredded carrots, mushrooms, radish, onions, cilantro, broccoli, noodles).  The staff constantly checks to refill the stations.  The cooks/chef tries his best to quickly cook your meal.

There's pot of rice, self serve, which if you want to eat your meal with meats & veggies without noodles... can't include the rice on the grill prob bc it might get stuck on the grill.

There's veggie egg rolls but not much filling inside.

Fairly large place inside and outdoor seating so you'll get seated quickly.

Bonus soft serve!!

Dinner for 2 adults ($21/per) and 2 kids ($15/per) came out to $80 with tax.  It's a bit pricey for kids since they didn't eat that much but for adults is a good price.

I have wanted to go here for a while! It was so great. You make your own combination of meat, veggies and sauces. You can have noodles or white rice. Also comes with egg rolls and ice cream. Really great for everyone. If you want to eat healthy, it's very easy to do.

New Mongolian BBQ on Castro Street in Mountain View is fantastic! Their build-your-own bowl concept lets you create a customized meal with a variety of meats, veggies, and sauces cooked on a large grill. Adding noodles makes it even heartier. Don't miss their crispy egg rolls and self-serve soft serve ice cream. Reasonably priced and a comfortable atmosphere (not fancy) for a memorable dining experience! Overall good customer service, and they refill the stations well.

I used to come here at least once a week in high school and have since moved to Colorado... that being said I fly home at least twice a year and make sure stay an extra day just so I can eat here. This is my favorite place on the entire planet!! Incredible

The buffet option is very nice, and it comes pretty cheap for a single person. Exceptional service from the waiters, and the food is more or less prepared on the spot. The ingredients are all natural and tasty. I love the complimentary ice cream they give you!

The food is amazing!!! Well, you can get one or two bowls. For me, I got two bowls. One for the meat and one for the noodles since the noodles would be hard to fit with the meat. There is a recommendation for the sauce for your meat but I prefer to do it yourself and it will taste amazing!!! If you like corn, I low-key do not get it with your Mongolian BBQ because once it is cooked it is super hard to bite.

The service is okay. The chef cooking your meal is super nice and will get your food as quickly as possible which is a plus. However, I was annoyed that the cashier gave us only two napkins when there is three of us. To me, it sounds like he was very stingy with giving napkins. Like why are you only giving us a few napkins? This is worth trying if you want some AYCE Mongolian BBQ

New Mongolian BBQ is a unique dining option on Castro St, featuring Mongolian barbecue in a casual setting. At the buffet line of raw ingredients, you can fill up to two bowls at a time with meats, vegetables, noodles, and sauces, and the ingredients are then grilled on a large round cooktop! The meat selection here included sliced beef, lamb, chicken, and pork; while the vegetables included water chestnuts, baby corn, celery, carrots, tofu, mushrooms, cilantro, zucchini, peppers, bean sprouts, cabbage, onions, and broccoli. Of all the different sauces, I tried the curry (a little overpowering) and the spicy red chili paste, but my favorite was simply the house specialty sauce, which had the right balance of savory flavor with a hint of sweetness. After everything is grilled up, you can top off the mixture with condiments like sesame seeds, and also grab spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce and Chinese mustard as an appetizer. It's all-you-can-eat, so you can go back to the buffet line again and again, and finally, help yourself to dessert: a watery bit refreshing vanilla soft serve in a cake cone. Overall, the quality of ingredients here was decent, and the service was friendly too!
